Tibor Karolyi


Tibor has over 20 years of bankruptcy experience as a senior manager with AFSA. He spent the last 12 months as the acting Deputy Official Receiver managing the Bankruptcy Registry and setting up the Official Receivers Notices team.

His experience has been across all types of bankruptcy matters including complex investigations, tracing exercises, complex legal recoveries as well as dealing with difficult and vexatious litigants.

Tibor has also appeared in Court on behalf of both the Official Trustee in Bankruptcy and the Official Receiver and regularly instructs solicitors and barristers when required to achieve the desired outcomes.


Tibor joined the dVT Group in July 2011 where he has undertaken a mix of corporate and personal insolvency matters in the first two years.

In 2013, Tibor setup a dedicated Bankruptcy Team and has been successful in undertaking personal insolvency appointments to the satisfaction of creditors, regulators and associated stakeholder parties.

Tibor has managed over 1,000 appointments over his career and therefore has accumulated a vast knowledge and experience with the proven ability to deal effectively with any situation or business in any industry.
