As a Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy specialising in personal insolvency combined with a profound understanding of both personal and corporate financial restructuring, Alan’s strategic acumen is matched by his precision and commitment to delivering tailored solutions and positive outcomes for his clients.
His background showcases a progression through pivotal roles within both the public and private insolvency field, marked by leadership and innovation.
Background:
Starting his career in the family business, Alan’s early experience provided him with foundational skills in business operations and financial management. His previous roles at AFSA, BPS Recovery and Chifley Advisory were distinguished by the development and management of insolvency practices, delivering positive outcomes and results that highlight his attention to detail, experience and proficiency in navigating complex financial landscapes.
With a proud Chinese heritage and a profound knowledge of the diverse Asian cultural backgrounds, Alan’s bilingual proficiency in English and Cantonese has uniquely positioned him to assist and advocate for the Asian community in Australia, offering culturally resonant advice and insights.
Qualifications and Memberships:
- Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy, Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA)
- Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance, University of Sydney
- Member of Association of Independent Insolvency Practitioners (AllP)
- Member of Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA)
- 22 plus years’ experience
